Democratic Party (DP) President Norbert Mao has been discharged from Nairobi Hospital where he was admitted last month after being diagnosed with pneumonia.
DP Secretary General Mr Mathias Nsubuga told Daily Monitor that Mr Mao was discharged from hospital on Tuesday although still in Kenya.

“Mr Mao has been discharged from hospital but he is still under strict medical rules. He will remain in Nairobi for a week for just medical checkup,” Mr Nsubuga said.

“According to the doctors, Mr Mao needs more time to rest and complete his treatment before he is brought back in Uganda to resume with his political activities and party work,” Mr Nsubuga added.
It has been over two weeks since Mr Mao was admitted at Nairobi hospital where he was referred from Lacor Hospital in Gulu after he was diagnosed with
Mr Mao fell sick shortly after he arrived in northern Uganda to participate in the ongoing campaign for electoral reforms ahead of the 2016 polls.
