DPP sanctions fresh charges against Sheikh Maj Kiggundu murder suspects

The suspects shall return to Buganda Road court on September 13, 2017 to be committed to High Court for trial.
The Director of Public Prosecutions Mike Chibita has sanctioned fresh charges against four people accused of killing Sheik Maj Mohammad Kiggundu and his bodyguard, Stephen Mukasa.
This was after the DPP told court that he had dropped the same charges against Sheikh Yahaya Ramathan Mwanje, who was the acting Tabliq sect leader at Nakasero Mosque in Kampala; Muhammad Buyondo alias Matiya, a boda boda rider; Abdul Wahabu Sedegeya, boda boda rider and Musa Sekandi alias Masanafu, a businessman in Masanafu a Kampala suburb.

In the fresh charges, Sheikh Mwanjje, Buyondo , Wahaab and Ssekandi are accused of supporting ADF rebels in form of training and recruitment between 2010-2017 in various districts of Uganda.
Other suspects are Yusuf Nyanzi, Jibril Kalyango, Noordin Lutaaya, Bruhan Balyejusa. The eight are jointly charged with
