LUUKA- Police are holding eight people for their alleged involvement in the marriage of a 14-year-old girl.
The District Police Commander, Vincent Elama, said the suspects were rounded up following a tip-off by the area LCI Chairman.
He identified some of the suspects as Robert Waibi, the father of the girl, Nabirye Waibi, the mother and a one Suwed, the groom, all residents of Nawakompe Village in Nawampiti Sub-county.
