Museveni's son Gen Muhoozi decorated

First son and leader of the Special Force Command (SFC) Muhoozi Kainerugaba has been decorated following his promotion to the rank of Major General.
Muhoozi was on May 16 promoted from Brigadier to Major General to keep him in the right rank to command the Special Forces that is to be expanded into an autonomous Service Force within the UPDF.
In a ceremony held at Ministry of defense headquarters in Mbuya, Kampala, Major General Muhoozi and other Uganda People’s defense Forces (UPDF) officers were pipped by the Commander of Defense Forces (CDF) General Edward Katumba Wamala in the company of their spouses and relatives.
Other officers decorated include Major General Joram Mugume who was promoted to Lieutenant General, Colonel Charles Lutaaya to Brigadier, Colonel Stephen Muzeyi Sabiti to Brigadier, Col James B Mugabe to brigadier.
The promotions came four days after Mr Museveni was sworn in as Uganda’s president for the next five years following his victory in the highly contested February 18 elections.
