KAMPALA-The High Court in Kampala has convicted five workers [shamba boys] accused of killing their former boss Josephine Nalwadda.

Prosecution accused the five of killing Nalwadda in July 2012 at her home in Muyala village in Kamengo Sub-county, Mpigi District.

Those convicted include Jerevasio Kabagambe, John Muhigo, Jackson Kivumbi, John Musisi and 14-year-old David Mwanje.

The group has also been convicted of aggravated robbery and theft.

Justice Jane Alividza said there was over whelming evidence linking the five to the said murder after they plotted to break into the deceased’s bedroom on July 18, 2012.

Prosecution also adduced evidence linking four of the men to the theft of Shs5m and property worth Shs3m.

The four are said to have assisted robbers who cut Nalwadda, 70, into pieces after robbing her of cash and property.
