The cause
Mr Val Oketcho, one of the deceased’s sons, told Sunday Monitor that his father had been suffering from multiple ailments, which were escalated by a mild stroke.
“He was due for kidney transplant in a matter of weeks. But before that, he had to be treated for rear blood disorder, something that we were trying to do ahead of the kidney transplant in India,” Oketcho’s son told Sunday Monitor yesterday.

According to family members, the burial will take place after Easter celebrations, but said they would contact Parliament to have the body of the former legislator lie in state at Parliament.
The deceased is survived by six children and wife.
