Former minister’s son goes missing

By Andrew Bagala

Kampala- The son of the former Lands minister, Mr Baguma Isoke, has gone missing.
Mr Anthony Mugarura, 37, was last seen on Monday when he travelled from Kibaale to Kampala to collect money for seedlings.

The Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, Mr Patrick Onyango, confirmed that they have received a report from Mr Isoke about his missing son.

“Mr Isoke told us that he called his son and told him that he was in Mityana at around 8pm but since then he has failed to reach him on phone or other means,” Mr Onyango said.
Mr Onyango said they have informed their Flying Squad Unit and the Joint Anti-terrorism Task Force and they have started a hunt.

Mr Isoke, now the chairperson of the Uganda Land Commission, fears that his son could have be kidnapped.
