Two schools, seven homes, Sub county headquarters and a mosque were destroyed by a hailstorm following heavy down pour in Ibaare Sub County, Bushenyi District on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Sub county chairperson, Mr Emmanuel Mbangirwoha, the rain which lasted for about two hours destroyed Kyamugabo parents primary school, Ibaare primary school and Ibaare mosque as well as gardens of about 350 homes.

He told Daily monitor on Thursday that the parishes of Kyamugabo, Ibaare and Kainamo were affected by the hailstorm which destroyed banana plantations, and other gardens leaving scores of homes without food.
He appealed to government through the disaster and preparedness ministry to provide relief food to the affected families.
