Mr Geoffrey Aluma whose name appeared on the first list of President Museveni’s new Resident District Commissioner reshuffle has said he’s not dead as was earlier reported by a section of the media.
Hours after President Museveni issued a second RDC reshuffle list, Mr Aluma rushed to the media to clarify.
In the amended list circulated by senior Presidential Secretary, Don Wanyama, Mr Aluma who had been appointed RDC for Amudat, is missing.

Two people whose names had appeared on the first list were dropped

In the initial list issued on June 15, Mr Aluma had been appointed as RDC for Amudat District and William Aya, as deputy RDC for Pader District. A few hours later, there were allegations on social media and a section of the mainstream media that Mr Aluma died sometime back and that Mr Museveni had erroneously appointed him as RDC.
On Tuesday, Mr Wanyama said there were some mistakes in the first list before issuing the amended one.
When asked why some people had been dropped in the new lists, Mr Wanyama simply said they were not available.

But speaking to Daily Monitor, Mr Aluma said whoever alleged that he’s dead needs to be taken for medical checkup.
“I’m alive and kicking and I have never had any disturbing sickness where people could have presumed me dead. Whoever wants to know that I’m alive let him or her call me on 0782391231 or check my registration with MTN,” he said.

Mr Aluma worked as Nakapiripirit RDC between 2010 to 2014 before he was dropped in one of Mr Museveni’s reshuffles.
