By JULIET KIGONGO

Kampala- The judgment of a case in which a 42-year-old teacher is accused of sodomising a Primary Six pupil has been postponed.
High Court judge Joseph Murangira adjourned the judgment to July 29 after six hours of waiting without any communication to the anxious public that had filled the courtroom waiting for the verdict. There were also other litigants waiting for their cases to be heard. All the cases were deferred.
The accused Mr George Makande was in court waiting to know his fate.

Prosecution
Prosecution states that Makande between March and April 2014 at a school in Nangabo Sub-county, Wakiso District, performed an anal sexual act with an 11-year old boy, a pupil at the school.
The victim testified during the hearing that as he was in a school dormitory cleaning, his teacher [Mr Makande] came and shut the door and ordered him to put off his pants.
The boy told court that Mr Makande performed anal sexual intercourse with him.

“Mr Makande performed anal sexual intercourse to me twice and on the two occasions, the other pupils were noisy in the room,” the victim told court.

Threats
Court further heard that after the acts, Mr Makande threatened to kill the victim if he revealed the act to any one.
The boy said from then Mr Makande started having anal sex with him at any time he wanted until the victim’s mother noticed her son’s condition and upon checking him she realised his anal tissues were decaying. However, Mr Makande denied the charges.
