A woman and her children on Monday braved the morning downpour and camped at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) headquarters, demanding to talk with Ms Jennifer Musisi, the executive director, about her stalls which were allegedly vandalised in July by city law enforcement officers.
Ms Esther Nassazi, a mother of five claims her stalls at USAFI market were destroyed and all her merchandise confiscated by the enforcement officers.

''My two stalls and a third one owned by my husband were vandalised on July 21, 2016 and my merchandise worth Shs4 million was taken by KCCA officials,'' Ms Nassazi said.
The distressed mother says she has no money to take her children back to school and has vowed not to leave KCCA premised until she recovers all her merchandise.
''I heard on the radio that parents who won't take their children back to school will be arrested. So, I decided to come here to demand for my items that were taken,'' said Ms Nassazi.
By press time, Mr Nassazi had not yet met Ms Musisi but commenting on the matter, Kampala City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago asked her to be patient as the authority investigates her complaints.

Mr Lukwago says when he visited USAFI market recently, Ms Nassazi was among the many market vendors who shared their grievances with him.
''It is a matter of great concern to us and we feel really there is injustice we must address,” Mr Lukwango said.
