Jose Chameleone and international musician Davido’s music concert dubbed ‘Club War of the Titans’ hangs in balance.

This is after Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) issued a warning to the management of Kyadondo Rugby Club, where the music concert is slated to take place, that no more music shows, performances and concerts will be permitted at the grounds.

In a letter dated December 11, a copy of which was served to this newspaper, the directorate of legal affairs, Mike Okua said the organisers and management of the club went against stipulated conditions for the ‘Battle of Champions’.

The concert was headlined by Bebe Cool and Goodlyfe in a musical contest. The same letter was served to the commander, Kampala Metropolitan Police, among other offices within KCCA.

“We are reliably informed that contrary to the conditions stipulated in the permit authorising you to hold the said concert; you permitted the show to go (on) up to 3:30am and failed to prevent vehicles from parking on the adjacent pavement thereby destroying the green areas and road infrastructure,” the letter reads in part.

It adds, “This is to therefore inform you that the Authority will, from hereafter, not issues you any Authorisation of Permit to hold any shows, and other public events in the capital city.”

Okua writes that there will be no more shows permitted until the management of Kyadondo Rugby Club undertakes to curb the occurrence of the said breaches at its premises.
