The Kabaka of Buganda has asked his kingdom officials to collaborate with the central government Tourism ministry to promote tourism in Uganda.
Ronald Muwenda Mutebi was closing the 7th Buganda Tourism Expo in Kampala yesterday when he said: “Buganda and Uganda have the capacity to steer development through tourism.”

At the same function, the kingdom Prime Minister, Mr Charles Peter Mayiga, said Buganda would continue partnering with other cultural institutions to foster unity and development. “All clans in Buganda have cultural heritages which must be preserved,” Mr Mayiga said.

The expo has been running for six days and has attracted participants from other cultural institutions in the country. Thousands of Kabaka’s subjects converged to witness the closure of the expo.
