Kasese clashes: Police release names of suspects in custody

- More than 100 people have been arrested in a jointb operation between police and the army.
- At least 62 people, including security officers have been killed, according to police.
Police have released names of some of the suspects arrested in a joint operation with the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) following fresh clashes in Rwenzori sub-region clashes.
More than 100 people, including Rwenzururu King Charles Wesley Mumbere have been arrested and detained in different police stations in the region.
According to Police spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi, at least 62 have been killed in the clashes that saw
King Mumbere charged with murder, remanded to Nalufenya
Prosecution avers that King Mumbere killed Godfrey Kasimba, police constable in March.
before being remanded to prison on Tuesday.
