Kasiwukira’s widow released from police

KAMPALA. Ms Sarah Nabikolo, a widow to Eriya Bugembe Sebunya aka Kasiwukira has been released from the police Special Investigations Unit (SIU) in Kireka.
She was released on police bond following her arrest at Busia border on Tuesday night as she tried to cross into Kenya.
A source at SIU intimated to Daily Monitor that Ms Nabikolo had been detained on charges of falsification of identity, concealment of travel documents and police was considering opening fresh charges in connection with death of her husband Kasiwukira.
Mr Andrew Kaweesi confirmed Nabikolo’s detention but said she was released on bond.
He declined to divulge further details.
Ms Nabokolo was on October 12 acquitted by the High Court of the murder of her husband Kasiwukira. However her co-accused Sandra Nakungu and Jaden Ashraf were convicted.
