Mumbere charged with murder, remanded to Nalufenya
Rwenzururu King Charles Wesley Mumbere has been charged with murder and remanded to Nalufenya Prison until December 13 when he would return to court for mention of his case.
He was remanded by Jinja Chief Magistrate John Francis Kaggwa.
Prosecution avers that King Mumbere killed Godfrey Kasimba, police constable in March.

by Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) in a joint operation with police and airlifted to Nalufenya prison in Jinja following fresh clashes that have rocked Rwenzori region.
Rwenzururu queen, Nyabaghole Agnes Ithungu, the leader of Opposition Winfred Kiiza were among kingdom loyalists who packed the court.
