This follows an internal investigation that revealed that the affected staff had formed a mafia –like group at the university that has been orchestrating irregular admissions .

The affected staff include: Mr Aminsi Kirunda , the administrative assistant in the Department of Civil and Building Engineering, Ms Gladys Muwanga (secretary to the Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences) , Mr Gonzaga Walubi (senior assistant bursar) Mr Emmanuel Mubiru (administrative assistant in the Department of Economics and Statistics).

Others are Mr Julius Tumushabe (senior accountant assistant), Ms Rosette Ampaire (senior account assistant ), Mr Mark Byarugaba (senior account assistant) , Mr Vincent Kizito(assistant registrar in the Admissions Division) and Mr Mubarak Muwaya (office attendant).

Kyambogo University spokesperson Lawrence Madete said the officials are required to handover university property in their possession as soon as possible.
