Rakai- Rally ace Ponsiano Lwakataka and his employee, Mr Abdul Mukiibi, will today reappear in court after they were early this week remanded to Kalisizo government prison.
They are accused of assault, threatening violence, and obstructing a police officer from conducting his duty.
The two were sent back to prison after the magistrate was reportedly held up in Kampala.
Court clerk, Florence Nabukenya, told the duo early this week that Magistrate Susan Awidi, who had been assigned the case had been held up and could not preside over the case.

She said they would reappear in court today [Friday].

Mr Lwakataka was arrested early this month and was charged with multiple crimes in different courts in relation to illegal fishing and obstruction of justice.

Last week he, together with Mr Mukiibi, were charged with assault, inciting violence and preventing a police officer from arresting suspects that were believed to be transporting immature fish from Dimo landing site.

The accusations
It is alleged that the two incited the public to beat up a policeman, who had impounded a truckful of immature fish.

It is also alleged that in March, Mr Mukiibi and Mr Lwakataka, caused grievous bodily harm to a police constable, Mr Mikidadi Kabiito, attached to Sanje Police Post in Rakai District.
Mr Kabiito had reportedly tried to stop them as they travelled from Kasensero landing site carrying immature fish.
Mr Hassan Kamba, the lawyer of the two suspects, who was in court was visibly distressed as the court clerk read out the order.
