The Chairman for the Democratic Party ( DP) Mr Norbert Mao also confirmed the death of Ms Namaganda in a statement.  Mao praised the deceased for her relentless efforts in advocating for fair prices for rural farmers.

“The Democratic Party has lost a fresh new talent; a bright star has gone out leaving a dark void. She was so full of life and determination coupled with an iron will,” Mao said.

“To her husband, Hon. Fred Mukasa Mbidde and the entire family I know my words of consolation may not suffice but I hope the assurance that we your friends and comrades in the struggle stand with you at this trying time will strengthen you. We lift you up in prayer and commend Susan's soul to God Almighty. Leaders like Susan born in the 80s and 90s represent a new dawn in the Democratic Party and her tragic death at a tender age is a severe setback. Indeed she is a fruit fallen unripe,” Mao added.
