KAMPALA. With Makerere University set for election of the next students guild president today, the official NRM and DP flag bearers claim their respective parties have neglected them.
“I have done with my campaign team whatever we could but the feeling I get from voters worries me,” said Ruth Nsubuga, the NRM flag bearer.
“They tell me much as I am articulate with a good manifesto and a leader they would vote for, they are no longer interested in the words ‘NRM’ and ‘Museveni’ at the campus,”

Claims and counter claims
Mr Henry Patrick Buyondo, a supporter of Paul Kato, the FDC flag bearer, also claimed that the lastest opinion poll showed their candidate in the lead.
However, Luwa Luwa a campaign manager for independent but DP leaning Marcy Lachisa, downplayed the assertion. “It will be a surprise for one who has been dodging public joint rallies because he can’t express himself in English.”
