Man Stabbed to death over 2GB Memory card

Dokolo: A 25-year-old man in Ageni B, Ageni Parish, Okwongodul Sub-county in Dokolo District lost his life in a fight over a memory card last Saturday.

Ceaser Okello was stabbed in the neck by his friend Isaac Okabo with a knife during a scuffle over a 2GB memory card.

Mr Bosco Ogwang, the chairman Ageni Trading Centre where the duo were driking from told journalists that the two failed to identify their respective cards leading to confusion.

Mr Ogwang said during the fight, Okabo pulled a knife which he had hidden in his pocket and stabbed Okello to death.

He said  Okabo tried to escape but was arrested and detained at Aburawak Police Post in Okwongodul Sub-county.

Mr David Okori, an uncle of the deceased says both Okello and Okabo were close friends and described the incident as unfortunate.

The Dokolo District Police Commander Aminsi Kayondo confirmed the incident and warned people against excessive drinking saying the police would launch an operation to arrest people who drink in the morning.

The body was on Sunday handed to the relatives for burial. Okabo is still being detained at Dokolo CPS.

According to the crime report for 2017, this is the third incident of this nature this year in the area.
