Kampala. A total of 145 Military Police personnel, including 10 officers and 13 female combatants were passed out at the weekend after completing a three-week prisoner handling and management course at Luzira Prisons Academy and Training School in Kampala.
The course was in relation to the changing demands of the world and hopes to address issues of violent arrests and handling of suspects.
“It was a hands-on course and more tangible, whereby role plays and demonstrations were used to impart both theoretical and practical skills to trainees,” the regional prison commander Kampala extra Commissioner, Mr John Bosco Tumwebaze, who was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, said.

Mr Tumwebaze challenged the officers to be exemplary and perform duties diligently.
