Ministry of Education will move to create more room for MPs.
The Ministry of Education has pleaded for money from the Finance ministry if it is to shift its headquarters from Development House to either UAP apartments, behind Nakawa Taxi Park, or Rwenzori Towers in Nakasero.
After the intervention of Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga, who wants more office space for several MPs, the Ministry of Education finally bowed down to pressure, but asked to for money that will facilitate their relocation.
In a meeting with officials from both the ministries of Education and Finance, the Speaker asked the finance ministry to look for the funds to facilitate the relocation. “The Speaker has already shown that there is good will and they are going to facilitate our relocation,” said Mr Patrick Mwinda, the Ministry of Education spokesperson.
