Missing New Vision journalist Charles Etukuri released

Mr Charles Etukuri, a New Vision reporter who was reportedly abducted last Tuesday by unknown men in army camouflage as he left office at the Vision Group on First Street, Industrial Area has been released.
The Vision group boss, Mr Robert Kabushenga said on Monday that Mr Etukuri had been dropped outside the company offices.

“Thank you all for your prayers. God has answered them. Our New Vision reporter Charles Etukuri has been released. He has just been dropped off outside our office,” tweeted Mr Kabushenga.
This come just days after Parliament last Thursday tasked the ministry of Internal Affairs to explain the whereabouts of Mr Etukuri and Rev Isaac Baka.

Meanwhile, it emerged later that Mr Baka, a veteran journalist formerly employed by the BTN Television and Nile FM who has been missing for more than four months, was secretly charged with treason and remanded to Luzira Maximum Security prison where he’s languishing.
