Mityana businessman Kato's body arrives in style

Mityana. Hundreds of mourners last Friday took to the streets in Mityana, to welcome the body of the Enock Kato, a Mityana property owner and the district NRM party chairperson, who died on Tuesday in India where he had been taken for treatment.

Katos body arrived in the country last Thursday evening and was taken to Mityana the next day. On arrival traders closed their businesses and took to the streets wailing as they waved to the body, which was driven around town in a convoy of more than 200 cars.
Later, a funeral service was held at at Kiweesa Church of Uganda where the deceased has been a devout member.

Attending the prayers were relatives, officials from the NRM party in Mityana and Mubende District as well as Buganda Kingdom officials.

While addressing mourners after the prayers, Hajj Haruna Nziza, the acting chairperson of the NRM party in Mityana District commended the deceased for his efforts to support the party and unite members in Mityana.

Kato owned several businesses in Mityana which included Enro Hotel as well as outlets for Nile Breweries.

He was buried at his Enro Hotel in Mityana yesterday
