What you need to know:

Dream come true. Married couples have an opportunity to visit dream holiday destinations .

KAMPALA. Monitor Publications Limited (MPL) in partnership with Wild Places and Geo Lodges has launched a promotion, “Honeymoon in The Wild” for a few lucky couples wed this year (2015).
“We believe this will be an exciting promotion and we are addressing issues around the family. This is part of our attempt to give more to couples, and to our readers,” Mr Charles Bichachi, the managing editor Weeklies, said during a press conference at the MPL head office in Namuwongo,
The promotion, that will be running starting May to December, will see lucky couples win a fully paid honeymoon to either Semliki Safari Lodge, Nile Safari Lodge, Equator Snow Lodge or Rain Forest Lodge.

How to enter
“The promotion is beginning on May 10 and the audience is called upon to buy a copy of Sunday Monitor and fill out a coupon that should be dropped at any of the Monitor offices countrywide,” Ms Sarah Walakira, the marketing manager MPL, said the lucky couples for each month will get to enjoy different destinations.
Thanking MPL for its active participation, Ms Tatiana Lanenga, the safari manager Wild Places, said: “We believe Semliki Safari Lodge is a destination that is untouched and [in May] we will offer two couples two nights each, inclusive of all meals, two game activities and transport to and fro so that they can have the best experience.”

Promoting tourism
Mr Bichachi said this promotion is a way of promoting domestic tourism in the country because there are many places that many people are unaware of but see on televisions.
“We will offer to the couple an experience of nature that is unique and beautiful but can best be described when experienced than with words,” Ms Dorcas Lynn Nakijjo, the human resource manager, Geo lodges said.
However, verification will be carried out to ensure that couples selected do qualify for the 2015 requirement regardless of whether it is a church or traditional wedding. “We thank our partners and we do value our readers and through this promotion, we are giving back to you,” Ms Walakira said.
