Kisoro.

The Bishop of Muhabura Diocese, Cranmer Mugisha, has been accused by a family of maliciously failing to pray for their dead relative at Sesame Cathedral in Kisoro Town.

The family of the late Mugenga, who was a reverend, wants the bishop to explain why the body of their brother, George Mugenga was not accorded prayers as is the norm in the Christian faith.

Mugenga died in an accident in Kampala in March this year.
“I am bitter with bishop Mugisha and his administration. He knows very well our father was a reverend who helped in establishment of Sesame diocesan headquarters. Why did Bishop Mugisha who went to the same school with my dead brother refuse to pray for him from our father’s church?” charged Mr Tom Mugenga, the deceased’s brother.

“No one is supposed to judge the other. It is only God who judges us after we have died. Even the bishop knows how much this family has done for the church,” Mr Mugenga said on Wednesday.

However, Bishop Mugisha said the Mugenga family are exaggerating the matter.
“I don’t want to comment on this issue. You can write everything you want. Let those that want to generate disunity and wars in our church do so,” Bishop Mugisha said.
