Kampala- The application for temporary release of the director of International Security Organisation (ISO) in-charge of Marines, Maj Herbert Muramagi, awaits determination before the military court.

Makindye-based General Court Martial chaired by Brig Moses Ddiba Ssentongo yesterday set April 15 as the date for the ruling following submissions in which prosecution led by Capt Fredrick Kangwamu asked court to decline the grant for bail pending trial.

Capt Kangwamu objected to the release of Maj Muramagi, citing inconsistencies in the documents presented by the four sureties at the rank of Major who are attached to ISO.

However, Maj Muramagi, through his lawyers, asked the court to exercise its powers to grant him bail pending trial.

He also asked the court martial to dismiss the charges, citing failure by the state to adduce evidence.
