Museveni cautions Zambian opposition against causing 'trouble'

I salute the Zambian people for electing the current President and whoever lost should reconcile and stop making trouble for the country to develop and if you lose in politics, it’s not the end of the world.
President Museveni on Sunday lauded his Zambian counterpart Edgar Lungu for the invite to attend the country’s 52nd Independence anniversary celebrations.
During a state banquet, Mr Museveni expressed his gratitude to be “home on such an incredible and historical day.”
“I am happy to be in my home. Zambian people are the same as Ugandans, they have the same dialect,” Museveni said.
Museveni said both countries are to discuss matters of mutual interest especially in the areas of agriculture; to create employment for the young and ‘stamp’ out poverty.
He also lauded the Zambians for re-electing President Lunga and called upon the opposition to work amicably with the ruling government.
“I salute the Zambian people for electing the current President and whoever lost should reconcile,” he added.
Museveni further recognized former President Mzee Kennath Kaunda for his monumental role in the development of Zambia saying: “We should respect mzee Kaunda. He built the first Zambian University. For us in Uganda, Kenneth Kaunda is a hero.”
President Yoweri Museveni is Chief Guest at the National celebrations of Zambia’s 52nd, Independence anniversary which is underway in Lusaka.
