Kampala - President Museveni on Monday warned former South Sudan Vice President Riek Machar soon after landing in South Sudan capital, Juba, where he will hold talks with South Sudan President, Salvar Kiir.

Museveni told journalists in Juba that the regional leaders would defeat Mr Machar if he refuses government’s offer of ceasefire.

Civil war broke up in the oil-rich South Sudan after Riek Machar, a former vice president, was accused of plotting a coup against President Salva Kiir.

Mr Museveni visited amidst reports that armed youths loyal to Mr Machar were planning to attack the Jonglei State capital, Bor, which was recaptured by government forces on Friday.
