Moroto- Internal Affairs minister Gen Aronda Nyakairima has advised all the Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) who were dropped in the recent reshuffle to remain committed and support the NRM government.
He said their being reshuffled was not a sign of hatred but a routine that happens in every department in the country.
Gen Aronda was on Monday officiating at the opening of Justice Law and Order Sector offices in Moroto District.
He recognised the presence of the outgoing RDCs and the efforts they made in Karamoja region during the disarmament exercise.
“This is a normal reshuffle like any other reshuffle and should not be translated in a bad act because more opportunities are still ahead,” he said.
But Sunday Monitor learnt that the General’s remarks did not please some of the dropped RDCs, with some of them saying it was unfair, considering that most of them sacrificed their lives to bring peace in Karamoja.
Others wondered why they were ordered to handover offices and vehicles, saying they should retain the vehicles.
