NRM’s Lamwaka registers early lead in Omoro District

OMORO- Preliminary results from Omoro District Woman MP elections indicate that National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate, Ms Catherine Lamwaka is enjoying an early lead at most polling stations.

At Lakwana Sub county polling station, Ms Lamwaka got 93 votes against her main rival, Ms Prossy Alanyo Owiny, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) candidate who bagged 17 votes while independent Christine Atimango received two votes.

 At Lukwi A Polling Station, in Lalogi Sub County, Ms Lamwaka got 36 votes, while Ms Alanyo 21 votes.

At Lukwi Polling Station B, Ms Lamwaka got 69 votes against 34 votes for Ms Alanyo.

 At Atyang Primary School Polling Station, NRM’s Lamwaka got 106 votes while Ms Alanyo received 32 votes.

  In  Koro Sub County,  at  Acoyo Polling Station  A &B, NRM’s Lamwaka got 241 votes against Ms Alanyo who  got 60 votes.

 At Barogali Polling Station, NRM’s Lamwaka got 156 votes while her rival, Ms Alanyo received 19 votes.

At Lajwatek Polling Station A_B, where Ms Lamwaka voted from, she got 282votes while Ms Alanyo bagged 19 votes.

Ms Lamwaka got 90 votes at Pida Polling Station while Ms Alanyo received 19 votes.

Other candidates in the race are Ms Grace Pamela Lanyero (DP) and Marie Lapolo Shaka (UPC).

 Independent candidates are; Ms Betty Lalam, Ms Santa Okot, Ms Christine Atimango, Ms Rose Nyapolo, Ms Alice Aneno Oroma and Ms Alice Latigo Akello.
