NTV journalists released on bond

NTV journalist Herbert Zziwa and camera man Ronnie Muwanga have been released from Gulu Central Police Station on bond.

The journalists were charged with incitement of violence and malicious damage.
They are to appear at Gulu Police Station on August 18 to answer the charges.

Mr Zziwa went missing after gun fire erupted when he was reporting live about the death of MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine’s driver who was shot during the chaos that rocked Arua town on Monday evening.

Zziwa suddenly went silent and the screen blacked out.

Mr Zziwa was reporting live about the shooting at the scene of the crime when more gun fire erupted

It was later reported that he had been arrested and was being detained at Arua Central police station before being transferred to Gulu Central Police Station
