Nine UPDF officers reshuffled

At least nine senior army officers have been moved in a mini reshuffle announced by the Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF).
UPDF spokesperson Brig Richard Karemire told Daily Monitor that the changes are “normal”.
“These changes take immediate effect because they are normal. The officers have had very successful tours of duty in different offices,” said Brig Karemire.

The changes were made by the Chief of Defence Forces Gen David Muhoozi, according to the UPDF spokesperson.
In the changes, Brig Stephen Kashure who has been the Director Operations Wealth Creation (OWC) has been appointed the Deputy Commandant of the UPDF senior command and Staff College, Kimaka in Jinja district.
He has been replaced at OWC by Col Mesach Matte who has been in the UPDF logistics department.

Brig Chris Bossa who has been the deputy commandant at Kimaka has been moved to the Logistics and Engineering department.
Also moved is Col Hubert Mbonye from the AMISOM deployment in Somalia to Ugandan embassy in Abuja, Nigeria as military advisor.

Another officer moved from AMISOM is Col Charles Byaruhanga who is now taking over as the Commandant at Kaweweta Recruit Training school.
