Leaders of outlawed pressure group For God and My Country (4GC) have announced a fresh round of protests set to start this Saturday.

The activists’ group while addressing the press at their offices on Katonga Road in Kampala said they would commence this year’s protest activities by lending a hand in the popular city clean-up campaign ‘Kampala City Yange’ slated to take place this Saturday in Kikuubo and Old taxi park all areas within the city centre.

The protests, they said, will be aimed at addressing massive graft, poison threats, and misuse of state resources by government officials.

In attendance was Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye, the former FDC president, Mr Matthias Mpuuga the Masaka municipality legislator, Mr Asuman Basalirwa, the inter-party co-operation chairman and other activists like Muwanga Kivumbi and Paddy Bitama.

Dr Besigye also promised to start demonstrations against the United States government whom he accuses of continuously funding security organs of the state involved in human rights abuses.

He said the ‘syndicate of thieves were hanging on’ because of the American donor funds.

Police have warned the public not to participate in activities organised by the group because 4GC is a banned and their activities are unlawful.
