Police has fired tear gas to disperse a group of rowdy students demonstrating at Kyambogo University. The students turned rowdy after failing to trace their names on the final list of those graduating tomorrow.

The students claim that they qualify for graduation and have cleared everything. However, they do not understand why they are not included on the final list.
"We cleared everything, they should give us reasons why we are not graduating, but they are not giving us any reasons" One of the students said.

The University spokesperson Mr. Lawrence Madete maintains that the students who are not on the list have not cleared all the requirements for graduation.

The University guild president John Mugabi yesterday said that the university published on its website with over 1,000 names of missing. He also added that if nothing was done to rectify the situation, the students will have no choice but to strike.

Kyambogo University graduation is set for tomorrow.
