Police recover body of Kenyan national at Kiira dam

JINJA. Police in Jinja District on Thursday morning recovered a body of a 24-year-old man believed to be a Kenyan national, at Kiira dam.

Peter Obara's decomposed body was retrieved by police after being notified by the workers at the dam.

Upon searching the body, police found a phone and Kenya national identity card in his wallet.

Details on the ID indicated that Obara was a resident of Esikulu village, Machakos County, in Busia District - Kenya.

It remained unclear whether the deceased was a student at one of the institutions in the area or a businessman or an employee of any companies around.
