Police search Edith Byanyima’s home

Police detectives have been sighted at Ms Edith Byanyima’s home in Muyenga, a Kampala suburb over yet to be known reasons.

Two patrol cars were on Wednesday seen at her home which, according to a source is being searched by the detectives.
Edith is a sister to Winnie Byanyima, the wife of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) former presidential candidate Dr Kizza Besigye.

When asked what detectives were searching for, Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Mr Luke Owoyesigire asked for more time, saying: “Please hold on. I will get back to you,” before hanging up on phone.
However, Byanyima’s lawyers arrived shortly after the police had started their search.

Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago who also doubles as one of Ms Byanyima's lawyers blocked at her gate.
