Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi has asked the youth to uphold the rule of law and democracy while equipping themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills to transform Uganda.
Mr Mbabazi said the NRM government restored constitutionalism which has created a conducive political and economic environment, adding that youth have to take advantage of such values to cement a strong future for them.

He said the NRM leadership has managed to fulfill its agenda and it is upon the youth to prepare themselves to take over the leadership mantle and set the bar higher.
The Premier made the remarks on Tuesday while flagging off student leaders from universities and tertiary institutions across the country under the Uganda National Students’ Association. They were going to Rwanda for a study tour.

“I am delighted to receive and flag you off for the study tour because my own outlook was shaped by extensive interaction as a student leader,” Mr Mbabazi said. The UNSA President, Mr Abubaker Matanda, commended government for creating a favourable environment for the students’ body to operate.
He said they organised the tour for student leaders to reflect on matters of national development.
