Rwenzori Diocese bishop installed university chancellor

Kabarole. Rwenzori Diocese bishop Reuben Kisembo has been installed as the Chancellor of Uganda Pentecostal University.
Bishop Kisembo was installed last Friday during the eleventh graduation ceremony at Mucwa campus in Fort Portal Town by the vice chancellor, Prof John Ntambirweki.
The Bishop replaces Justice Herbert Jeremiah Ntabgoba who has served as chancellor since 2001.
Bishop Kisembo commended those who served before him for the good work done for the university but added that there are still some challenges in the administration which he pledged to handle.
“We shall strengthen the staff and find possible ways to see that everything is in done in a proper way for better progress,” he said.
More than 600 students graduated with degrees, diplomas and certificates.

Graduates advised
Internal Affairs minister Aronda Nyakairima who was the chief guest asked graduates to be disciplined and have a positive attitude towards work.
“Go out there and work. Don’t despise any job. Just work until you get the job you want. Avoid wasting time because time wasted will never be recovered,” Gen Nyakairima said.
Prof Ntambirweki thanked Bishop Kisembo for accepting to serve the university even when the pay is little.
Bishop Kisembo holds a Master of arts in Theology and a Bachelor in Divinity from Uganda Christian University, Mukono.
He has worked with the Inter-Religious Council in various capacities.
