Primary Seven leavers joining secondary school, will report on February 18, two weeks after the continuing students, the Ministry of Education has said.
In an interview with the Daily Monitor yesterday, Mr Francis Agula, the assistant commissioner for secondary education, said the ministry had set the Senior One selection for January 30.
“We had planned that the students report on February 18, but this will depend on if the exams are released between Friday (today) and Monday,” Mr Agula said.
He, however, explained that the dates were tentative depending on when the Education minister, Ms Jessica Alupo, returns from the NRM party retreat in Kyankwanzi.
By yesterday, the ministry had not confirmed whether the 2012 Primary Leaving examinations would be released today.
However, word from the Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) showed that the results would be released on Monday.
Mr Hamis Kaheru, the Uneb spokesperson, yesterday said: “The 2012 PLE results will be released on Monday, January 21, at 10am, at the Statistics House conference room.”
