Several people are feared dead in a motor accident at Bujuuko village along Mityana - Kampala road in Mpigi District.
Mr Charles Ssebambulidde, the traffic police spokesperson said the accident happened on Friday morning after a Fuso truck, registration number UAY 459, that was carrying bags of cereals, rammed into a stationary commuter taxi registration number UAT 905K. Police are yet to confirm the exact number of the victims. Most of the victims were in the taxi.

"It's true the accident has occurred but I shall give you more details about it later after removing the wreckage of the lorry from the taxi," Mr Ssebambulidde told this reporter.
Mr Matia Lubembe, an eyewitness said that unspecified number of bodies are still trapped in the wreckage.

"We're trying to pull them out but it is still hard for us because the lorry is heavy. Only three survived; two were seated in the front side of the taxi and another a lorry driver," Mr Lubembe said.
Police arrested the driver of the lorry and survivors were taken to Mulago National Referral Hospital to receive treatment.
