A senior Daily Monitor cartoonist Moses Balagadde is dead.
Balagadde died today morning after he was admitted in Bugolobi Medical Centre in Kampala. The cause of his death is not yet clear but a postmortem report is underway, according to Mr Apollo Arinaitwe, a close family friend and Daily Monitor’s Production Manager.

He has worked for the company for more than 15 years.

"Moses has entertained and informed Monitor readers with his incisive and humorous cartoons for one and half decades. His illustrations and commentary on social and political events in the country always tickled the senses of our readers. His perspectives could only come out of a creative mind like his. We shall miss him greatly; his humour, his ideas and all. We salute him for his commitment to Daily Monitor and to journalism," said Daily Monitor's Executive Editor, Charles Odoobo Bichachi.
Balagadde’s body is expected to be buried tomorrow in Sembabule District.
