Six arrested after fatal bar fight

Six people have been detained following the death of their colleague in a bar fight.

According to police, a case of murder was reported and registered at Najeera -Kira Municipality at about 4.00 am on Sunday.

A group of drinkers reportedly engaged in a quarrel while in a bar. They were later told to move out by the bar owner.

After leaving the bar, a fight ensued outside and a one, Daniel Omyel, was killed during the fight according to his 19-year- old brother, Joseph Owori.

Police scene of crime officers went to the bar and picked relevant samples and exhibits.

According to police, six suspects including Moses Nsemerirwa, Francis Ngobi, Jevela Mugwanya, Ernest Mwebaze, Innocent Tulyahibwa and Nassan Byamukama have been arrested in connection with the crime.
