KAMPALA. The condition of former Democratic Party President and Kampala Mayor, Mr John Ssebaana Kizito is still bad, the Katikkiro of Buganda, Mr Charles Peter Mayiga has said.
The Katikkiro, who visited Mr Ssebaana at Nakasero hospital on Friday evening, told Journalists that Ugandans should keep praying for the life of a man who served his country dearly.

“I have visited Mzee Ssebaana and his life isn’t yet well but doctors have told us that they have done all what it takes to save his life and that they believe he will be well. They told us that his veins which transport blood to the brain are currently blocked because of the stroke which he is suffering from. But they said that they are working hard to ensure that blood flows to his brain.” Mr Mayiga said.

Mr Mayiga described the bed-ridden Ssebaana as a person who held the interests of not only Buganda Kingdom but Uganda at large and that his contribution to the country is worth celebrating.
“I will go back and tell the Kabaka the condition in which his servant is in now. I am hopeful that Mzee Ssebaana will be well in the name of our almighty father,” he said.
Asked about any referral to another hospital, the Katikkiro said that doctors were optimistic that what they had done was enough to save his life.
