St. Lawrence Schools proprietor, Prof Mukiibi dies

Kampala- Prof. Lawrence Mukiibi, a renowned educationist and proprietor of St. Lawrence Schools and Colleges has died. His family and business partners have confirmed.

“It is true he has passed on. He has been unwell ever since he got involved in an accident last year,” Mr Mike Sebalu, the chairman board of directors of the schools told this reporter by telephone from Arusha, Tanzania.

He said the Prof. Mukiibi has also been battling diabetes and was due to make 70 years next year.

One of his daughter said Prof Mukiibi got a heart-attack and died on Sunday. “We tried but couldn’t save his life,” she said.

Prof. Mukiibi is hospitalised at Norvik Hospital

the school. He was treated at Norvick Hospital in Kampala and was later referred abroad where he was treated and discharged.

Since then, according to Mr Sebalu, he has been unwell.
