His body was found lying in MUBS mosque on Tuesday evening. Preliminary police investigations show that Balabyeki entered the Mosque at about 1pm and performed the afternoon prayers.

According to witness statements, after the afternoon prayers, Balabyeki reportedly remained in the mosque to take a nap where he was found dead.

Mr Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, told URN that it’s still unclear what caused Balabyeki's death.
"His body was taken for postmortem to establish the cause of death. I can't say he was murdered or not," Owoyesigyire said.

The postmortem was done in the morning but the report is yet to be released.

Balabyeki earlier reportedly participated in on campus activities including; the MUBS Go Green campaign, an environment related campaign that was masterminded by the Students guild.
His friends told authorities that he later retreated to the mosque for lunch time prayer (also known as Dhuhr prayer) before taking a nap but didn’t wake up from it.
