KAMPALA- Residents of Old Kampala and the Asian community living in Kampala on Sunday flocked Aga Khan Primary School to see how healthy food is prepared and also learn how to lead healthy lifestyles.

According to Ms Rosalind Parkes, the event coordinator, this was the fifth version of the event which is held after every two years and it brings together catering businesses, healthcare service providers, sports equipment dealers as well as fitness clubs to demonstrate to the public the services they offer in order to live healthy lifestyles.

“This is a preventive medicine health fair to promote healthy lifestyles so as to prevent diseases coming from the kitchen. We focus on different aspects of life and we would encourage more people to start holding similar fairs,” she said, adding that the fair brings together fitness clubs, food providers and sports companies to exhibit their products and services.

Mr Mohamed Lalani, the chairperson Ismaili Muslim Charitable Trust, said they often partner with the Aga Khan Development Network to promote healthy living through a number of activities and they are planning to take the event up country because of the success they have often registered.
