Three UPDF soldiers survive jet accident in Amuru District

Amuru-  UPDF jet ranger on Wednesday crash- landed at Abulukodi village, Atika Sub County, Amuru District, injuring one person two others in board escaped unhurt.

The Fourth Division Army Spokesperson Isaac Oware, confirmed the incident, adding that the jet was on the way from Juba, South Sudan to Gulu.

“It lost control due to the too much wind in the air, knocked the electric pole and crash- landed,” he said.

 He identified the injured person as Cpt.  Ketgan Mugisha.  He said those who survived with no injuries are the pilot and his co-pilot.

He said the UPDF soldiers have gone to the accident scene to carry out further investigations.
