Three die in Mbiko Road accident

Buikwe-Three people have died in a road accident that involved three trucks on Tuesday night at Mbiko, Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District.
According to the Ssezibwa Regional Police Spokesperson, Ms Hellen Butoto, the accident occurred at about 8pm when the driver of a truck, Reg. No. UAL 522, lost control and knocked two trucks.
Jamal Wasswa, who lost control of the truck and his passenger only identified as Rashida, both residents of Busia, died on spot.
Gideon Machali, the driver of one the trucks Reg. No. UAN 197 Z, was knocked dead as he parked his truck on the roadside.
Wasswa’s turn man who was identified only as Umar, sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital.
The bodies were taken to Jinja Hospital Mortuary.
